Introduction to DMC Catalyst Introduction to DMC Catalyst

Table of Content [Hide]

The DMC catalyst has a freezing point of 4 ℃ and a boiling point of 90 ° C. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight aromatic smell at room temperature. It is easy to volatilize and has the appearance similar to alcohols, esters and ketones. It can be miscible with organic solvents in any proportion, such as alcohol, ester, ketones. It is non corrosive and partially soluble in water with a solubility of 13.9g/100gH2O. Water can also be partially soluble in DMC with a solubility of 4.2gH2O/100gDMC.

Single bimetal cyanidation has no catalytic activity, and only DMC complex formed by DMC and ligand complexation can show catalytic activity. The zinc-Cobalt cyanide complex is the most suitable for the preparation of polyether polyol with low unsaturation and narrow relative molecular weight distribution.

DMC catalyst is a kind of non-toxic chemical raw material with excellent environmental protection performance and wide application. It is an important intermediate in organic synthesis. It contains functional groups such as carbonyl, methyl and methoxy in its molecular structure. It has a variety of reaction properties and has the characteristics of safety, convenience, less pollution and easy transportation in production. DMC catalyst is a promising green chemical product because of its small size. It is also an important organic chemical intermediate, because its molecular structure contains carbonyl, methyl, methoxy and carbonyl methoxy, so it can be widely used in organic synthesis reactions such as carbonylation, methylation, methoxylation and carbonyl methylation.

Since DMC catalyst is non-toxic, it can replace highly toxic phosgene, methyl chloroformate, dimethyl sulfate as methylating agents or carbonylation agents to improve the safety of production and operation, and reduce environmental pollution.
