    How to Make AOS Powder

    Raw Material Preparation


    The main raw materials are alpha-olefin in the C14-C16 range, derived from petroleum cracking or natural fats. High-purity sodium bisulfite is also required as a sulfonating agent.


    Sulfonation Reaction


    Under specific temperature and catalytic conditions, alpha-olefin reacts with sodium bisulfite to generate sodium alpha-olefin sulfonate solution. This step requires strict control of the reaction temperature, time, and pH value to ensure product quality.


    Neutralization Treatment


    If the sulfonation product contains free acid, it needs to be neutralized by adding alkaline substances such as sodium hydroxide to make the product more stable.


    Spray Drying


    The neutralized solution is processed through a spray drying tower, where the moisture evaporates quickly, ultimately forming fine AOS powder that is easily soluble in water.


    The entire preparation process requires a clean production environment and strict quality control to ensure the purity of the AOS powder, the content of active ingredients, and the uniformity of product particle size.

    AOS powder is commonly used in shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers. It produces rich and stable foam, has strong cleaning power, but low irritation, making it suitable for sensitive skin or children's products.

    In laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, and kitchen cleaners, AOS powder has excellent grease removal capability and maintains good cleaning and foaming performance even in hard water conditions.
